Scottish independence referendum, and it was also inspired by a Leonard Cohen quote (see the description of Butterflies) as well as the story of a friend on a journey of self-discovery - which involves breaking free from an unsustainable marriage. I thought it a fitting song to conclude the album - it's the musical equivalent of a pretty dark cloud with a rather pronounced silver lining. It is also the song that sparked a very interesting debate (and an endless comment thread) on Facebook on "abstract" vs. "storytelling" songs and general aspects of songwriting.
