God on high Hear my prayer In my need You have always been there He is young He's afraid Let him rest Heaven blessed. Bring him home Bring him home Bring him home. He's like the son I might have known If God had granted me a son. The summers die One by one How soon they fly On and on And I am old And will be gone. Bring him peace Bring him joy He is young He is only a boy You can take You can give Let him be Let him live If I die, let me die Let him live Bring him home Bring him home Bring him home.

Love, love changes everything Hands and faces, earth and sky Love, love changes everything How you live and how you die Love, can make the summer fly Or a night seem like a lifetime Yes love, love changes everything Now I tremble at your name Nothing in the world will ever be the same Love, love changes everything Days are longer, words mean more Love, love changes everything Pain is deeper than before Love will turn your world around And that world will last forever Yes love, love changes everything Brings you glory, brings you shame Nothing in the world will ever be the same Off into the world we go Planning futures, shaping years Love bursts in and suddenly all our wisdom disappears Love makes fools of everyone All the rules we made are broken Yes love, love changes everyone Live or perish in its flame Love will never never let you be the same Love will never never let you be the same

Hello Again 04:04
Hello again, hello Just called to say 'hello' I couldn't sleep at all tonight And I know it's late But I couldn't wait Hello, my friend, hello Just called to let you know I think about you every night When I'm here alone And you're there at home Hello Maybe it's been crazy And maybe I'm to blame But I put my heart above my head We've been thru it all And you loved me just the same And when you're not there I just need to hear Hello, my friend, hello It's good to need you so It's good to love you like I do And to feel this way When I hear you say Hello Hello, my friend, hello Just called to let you know I think about you every night And I know it's late But I couldn't wait Hello

Where do I begin To tell the story of how great a love can be The sweet love story that is older than the sea The simple truth about the love she brings to me Where do I start With her first hello She gave new meaning to this empty world of mine There'd never be another love, another time She came into my life and made the living fine She fills my heart She fills my heart with very special things With angels' songs, with wild imaginings She fills my soul with so much love That anywhere I go I'm never lonely With her around, who could be lonely I reach for her hand, it's always there How long does it last Can love be measured by the hours in a day I have no answers now but this much I can say I know I'll need her 'till the stars all burn away And she'll be there How long does it last Can love be measured by the hours in a day I have no answers now but this much I can say I know I'll need her 'till the stars all burn away And she'll be there

Please release me, let me go For I don't love you anymore To waste our lives would be a sin Release me and let me love again I have found a new love, dear And I will always want her near Her lips are warm while yours are cold Release me, my darling, let me go For I don't love you anymore (To waste my life would be a sin) So release me and let me love again Please release me, can't you see You'd be a fool to cling to me To live a lie would bring us pain So release me and let me love again (Let me love, let me love)

How lucky can one guy be? I kissed her and she kissed me Like the fella' once said Ain't that a kick in the head? The room was completely black I hugged her and she hugged back Like the sailor said, quote, ain't that a hole in the boat? My head keeps spinning I go to sleep and keep grinning If this is just the beginning, my life is gonna' be beautiful I've sunshine enough to spread It's just like the fella' said Tell me quick ain't love a kick in the head? Like the fella' once said Ain't that a kick in the head? Like the sailor said, quote, ain't that a hole in the boat? My head keeps spinning I go to sleep and keep grinning If this is just the beginning, my life is gonna' be beautiful She's telling me we'll be wed She's picked out a king-size bed I couldn't feel any better or I'd be sick Tell me quick, oh ain't love a kick? Tell me quick, ain't love a kick in the head!

In my heyday Young men wrote to me Everybody seemed to have time to devote to me Everyone I saw all swore they knew me Once upon a song Main attraction, couldn't buy a seat The celebrity, celebrities were dying to meet I've had every accolade bestowed on me And so you see If I never sing another song It wouldn't bother me I had my share of fame You know my name If I never sing another song Or take another bow I would get by, but I'm not sure how Always posing, but you love it all Though you have to learn to act like you're above it all Everything I did the world applauded Once upon a star Framed citations, hung on every wall Got a scrapbook full of quotes, I can recall them all There were times I felt the world belonged to me And so you see If I never sing another song It wouldn't bother me I had my share of fame You know my name If I never sing another song Or take another bow I would get by, but I'm not sure how But I'm not sure how But I'm not sure how

Delilah 03:28
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind She was my woman As she deceived me I watched and went out of my mind My, my, my Delilah Why, why, why, Delilah? I could see, that girl was no good for me But I was lost like a slave that no man could free At break of day when that man drove away I was waiting I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door She stood there laughing I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more My, my, my Delilah Why, why, why, Delilah? So before they come to break down the door Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take any more She stood there laughing I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more My, my, my Delilah Why, why, why, Delilah? So before they come to break down the door Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take any more Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take any more

O my Luve’s like a red, red rose, That’s newly sprung in June; O my Luve’s like the melodie That’s sweetly play’d in tune. As fair are thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my Dear, Till a’ the seas gang dry. Till a’ the seas gang dry, my Dear, And the rocks melt wi’ the sun: I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o’ life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only Luve! And fare thee weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho’ it were ten thousand mile!

There's a grief that can't be spoken, There's a pain goes on and on. Empty chairs at empty tables, Now my friends are dead and gone. Here they talked of revolution, Here it was they lit the flame, Here they sang about tomorrow and tomorrow never came. From the table in the corner, They could see a world reborn, And they rose with voices ringing, And I can hear them now The very words that they have sung Became their last communion On this lonely barricade, at dawn. Oh my friends, my friends forgive me That I live and you are gone There's a grief that can't be spoken, And there's a pain goes on and on Phantom faces at the window, Phantom shadows on the floor, Empty chairs at empty tables where my friends will meet no more. Oh my friends, my friends don't ask me What your sacrifice was for Empty chairs at empty tables Where my friend will sing no more.

Wise men say Only fools rush in But I can't help falling in love with you Shall I stay? Would it be a sin If I can't help falling in love with you? Like a river flows Surely to the sea Darling, so it goes Some things are meant to be Take my hand Take my whole life too For I can't help falling in love with you Like a river flows Surely to the sea Darling, so it goes Some things are meant to be Take my hand Take my whole life too For I can't help falling in love with you For I can't help falling in love with you

Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness wakes and stirs imagination Silently, the senses abandon their defenses Helpless to resist the notes I write For I compose the music of the night Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Hearing is believing, music is deceiving Hard as lightening, soft as candlelight Dare you trust the music of the night? Close your eyes for your eyes will only tell the truth And the truth isn't what you want to see In the dark it is easy to pretend That the truth is what it ought to be Softly, deftly, music shall caress you Hear it, feel it secretly possess you Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind In this darkness which you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night Close your eyes Start a journey to a strange new world Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before Close your eyes and let music set you free Only then can you belong to me Floating, falling, sweet intoxication Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write The power of the music of the night You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night

Love Is All 04:46
Yesterday, I knew the games to play I thought I knew the way life was meant to be But now there's you, my foolish games are through Now at last I have found just what makes This whole world turn around Love is all I have to give Love is all as long as I shall live So take it all and I'll always be there When you call my name I know, know that love is all Every night I longed to hold you tight Until the morning light shines in your eyes So love me now, we'll get along some how Won't you please take my hand? And together, forever we'll stay Love is all I have to give Love is all as long as I shall live So take it all and I'll always be there When you call my name I know, know that love is all

about

**As heard on BBC Radio 2 thanks to Elaine Paige's show May '19
Mail on Sunday Dec 8th '19 - 'albums which make perfect gifts' **
‘this is a delightful debut album from a guy that will bring joy to music fans of this genre. It is beautifully produced and the orchestration is superb and I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. He also covers a couple of songs from the now departed Joe Longthorne who earned a reputation as a supreme cabaret and performance artiste. I believe that Joe Rose could achieve the same level of success...As I write this, the theme from Love Story, "Where Do I Begin" is playing and it seems an apt place to finish my review on. As the title states, this is CLASS.’ Rory Stanbridge FATEA Magazine
