Track 6. Kaity first got involved with us when she was just 14 years, performing cello, but it soon became apparent that there was a talented singer songwriter behind the cello ! Now 16 we are delighted to be recording her debut EP and this song is one of her popular ones live and for which she won the Young Songwriting Award at the recent Love Folk Live showcases.

"It's perhaps not the done thing to describe a female folk singer as having a sexy voice, but then part of the culture of folk music is subversion, so it's a plain simple fact Kaity Rae's slightly gritty and smoky tone is just fantastic.

"Kaity Rae is one of my favourites on the album. She brings "It is" , a song with the strongest hook on this disc,"oh but it is, it's wonderful". The mood of the track is accentuated by the liberal guitar slides which scratch just like a mind seeking the words to describe an innermost joy. Reaching for the heart; it lifts the track and makes it distinct. Her voice lingers on the chorus, it has a natural yearning, a rhythm that is sweet and introspective.
