"First up is Blue Pig Orchestra's "Gallows Hill", A tale about witchcraft, greed and hanging, it's more up-tempo than you might imagine with the subject matter. Here the fiddle supports the narrative by delivering a sense of urgency as the song drives towards dramatic climax." Neil King, FATEA Magazine
"Gallows Hill by The Blue Pig Orchestra. This was well recorded and was also an interesting song. Something a bit different for the EP and it reminded me a little of the work of Pentangle." Dave Swarbrick
We are over the moon to be included on the Passing the Baton EP. To have your writing and performance recognised by someone as iconic as Dave is great, especially knowing how classy and well written the songs that did not make the EP were. We are happy pigs!' Mike Rolland, The Blue Pig Ochestra
