Roxanne de Bastion
Roxanne de Bastion was born and raised in Berlin, where she grew up listening to the Beatles.
Once she finished school she decided to up sticks and start a life of music in a different country – she packed a bag and her guitar and flew to London with a one-way ticket in 2007. Now based in London, Roxanne spends most of her time on trains across the UK playing in as many different nooks and crannies as possible. Roxanne has released her first album, The Real Thing, in April 2014, a single on Folkstock Records, Here’s Tom with the Weather and is now on the first compilation EP, The F SpoT from Folkstock Records with her track Butterfly, which is released on 17th May 2014. Roxanne is performing at Wilkestock on the Folkstock stage and in Welwyn Garden City on 10th May as part of the Women’s Cycle Race celebrations run by the council. Continual touring in her home land Germany and the UK keep Roxanne out of mischief ! www.roxannedebastion.com

Butterfly – lyrics
Roxanne de Bastion

To make a Butterfly land on me
It always passes by, flies freely

How can she not know I'd take care?
How can she not know I'd be good for her?

I tried to win your love, but it did go to waste
We get along so well, you must not like my face...

How can she not know I'd take care?
How can she not know I'd be good for her?

With every word I wrote I gave a piece of me
They now stick in my throat, you spat them back at me

How can she not know I'd take care?
How can she not know I'd be good for her?
